Remember our true Commander-in Chief

In the face of the socialist fusillade that assails us daily, our first impulse is either to take cover or furiously shoot back in all directions. Realistically, a more prudent and effective response is called for, and it's happening across the country. Slowly but surely, an organized army is gathering to take it to the enemy who has no idea what's happening outside of its Washington DC stockade. Being one of those volunteer militiamen, I'd like to act as a volunteer chaplain today.
While Benjamin Franklin was an eminently practical man, and his words still hold true today, it was a priest 200 years before who reminded us of an underlying truth.

Whatever your personal religious beliefs may be, believe this: our founders knew, and publicly acknowledged, that this great experiment did not arise from their own genius, but from God - Nature's God, Divine Providence, the Creator. They knew - all too well!-that ultimate authority does not rest with any Congressman, Senator or the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania. They were fully aware that a republic devoid of God and religious practice was doomed to fail, and prayed for His guidance and wisdom. While it is imperative that we mobilize and take action, it is even more important that we not forget He who is the true Author of our liberties, and earnestly seek his protection and favor. In the midst of what sometimes seems like an F-5 tornado ripping through the heartland, it's important to know where our real shelter is. I now yield my pulpit with these words from one of the greatest Americans.

The time is near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their houses are to be pillaged and destroyed, and themselves consigned to a state of wretchedness from which no human efforts will deliver them. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army. Our cruel and unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance, or the most abject submission. We have, therefore, to resolve to conquer or die.
